Hello dear users,

Please note that in order to use this latest update dongle requires and update/re-update using PACK8 from Maintenance. Else application will crash/not start Please read carefully all the stuff bellow to avoid mutual headakes.

WHATS NEW !?

1. Added on installer all operators security backups shared by our users on this forum ! (Folder .\PACK8\Alcatel\Security\BackupSecurityFile)

2. Support OT-606 unlock code calculate/secure region rebuild/full image flash function.

* It is a new firmware, so OT-606 secure region rebuild function is not added in the tab "Rebuild Secure Region".
* It is integrated in the "Flash Handset Image" function.
* There are 2 kinds of flash file for OT-606.
* One is used for full image flash. Like, 606X-2XALEU1.bin
* Other one is used for rebuild handset secure region only but will keep other customization setting, like profile/MMS/WAP setting, etc. Like OT606_GoldenSecureFile.bin, it can help user to make the OT-606 phone unlock directly.


3. USB download function support.

* User can use USB download function to do full image flash. No need to purchase dedicated download cable/pinout, only normal USB data cable can be used to perform the job.
* For this first release, only OT-800/OT-802/OT-808/OT-880/MissSixty2/OneTouchShine which uses NAND flash are supported. More models will be added soon.


The USB FLASH process is a little different than the normal connection mode.

1. Enable USB connection mode. Select the model type in the list. When user try USB connection mode, the COM port and baudrate will not be selected anymore. The real COM port will be detected by the application during run-time automatically.
2. Select the flash file, it is same file as normal connection mode.
3. DON'T connect handset with PC by USB cable at the beginning. Make handset power off. Click "START" button.
4. Keep pressing the "SPACE" key on handset's qwerty, DON'T release it until the application prompt "Start to flash handset image...".
5. Plug in the normal USB data cable to the handset and connect it with PC.

Drivers can be found on application install folder under .\PACK8\ALCATEL_USB_DRIVERS . We provided drivers for all possible operating systems.
